Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Kings Head

3 Whitburn St, Bridgnorth WV16 4QN, UK – 01746 762141

This is a very cozy half timbered pub in Bridgenorth. They serve drinks and food and you can open a "tab" behind the bar so you only have to pay once at the end. Good staff and well worth a visit.

Great value for money food, menu is very different, a bit quirky as well as the usual type of meals. Really different inside from what was expected as looking in from outside looked rather dark but when we walked through into a really big pub it was light and airy, had a pool table and large bar and also an area upstairs as well as a beer garden. Staff where really welcoming. All in all a plesent experience, the food was delicious. Would recommend :)

Old Castle

10-11 W Castle St, Bridgnorth WV16 4AB, UK – 01746 711420

Really busy last night, great atmosphere! Food was delicious (homemade) and MASSIVE portions!! ...Every plate that I saw come out was greeted by a (pleasantly) shocked customer! Highly recommend this historically interesting, cosy, dog and child friendly pub (how pubs should be!)

Great food. Come once a year. Every year the food is excellent. If you have a big appetite this place doesn't disappoint! Pies and mixed grill particularly filling!

The Woodberry Inn

70 Victoria Rd, Bridgnorth WV16 4LF, UK – 01746 762950

Fantastic location locally sourced meat. Excellent service. Not the cheapest but worth it

Cosy little restaurant, food is fab. Have visited several times, would recommend.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Fantastic and Friendly BnB, I stayed at The Dinney for one night as I drive up and down the country for business and thought to change from the normal hotel and try something different. The Dinney offers excellent rooms, amazing views, peaceful night sleep and an amazing breakfast. This is now my number 1 place to stay in the area for work of leisure.

Garden Cottage at Bridgnorth

13 E Castle St, Bridgnorth WV16 4AL, UK – 01746 761236

This is an amazing place to stay. My wife and I have stayed there multiple times and love it. We are always warmly welcomed and then left alone in the cottage to be on vacation. If we need something the owner is next door and easily available. It is so clean and spacious and pretty here. We have had my father in law stay with us, my sister, and our daughter and her best friend also, on different visits. It is the best place to stay in Bridgnorth. We can't wait to come back again.
